Description

Toy train with five cars: steam engine with tender, an open freight car, a livestock car and a passenger car; each wooden car is of a simplified form; the engine with tender is painted medium green with red and black detailing and red wheels; the engine is embossed in gilt with "N.Y.C.R.R" and a partial black paper label which reads "A [illegible] Berlin" (also in gilt). The open freight car is painted a sage green with black details, has sage green wheels and a black printed label which reads: "Weight 5 tons" and holds three burlap bags; the poultry car is of a natural wood with black detailing, a blue top and bears several labels: 1- Weight 5 tons 2- "3870" 3- "Lond. 5th Western R" The passenger car with two cabins is painted a burnt orange with black pinstriping; its interior is fitted with benchseats which bears a label which reads "Principbook Nr 1480".
