Description

While these prepatory drawings are not formally indentified, they may be for a Newport, Rhode Island dwelling.

The drawings are cut from a larger scrapbook and therefore contain additional images believed to be disassociated with the signed watercolor renderings by Joseph C. Wells. This collection includes five drawings and an advertisement cottages and villas rented for the 1866 summer season from the Newport Daily News.
