This intricately worked dressing table cover is made of a shite cotton ground decorated with a central motif of a basket filled with flowers surrounded by an open wreath of feather vining wth a bow at the base. The fruit and flowers and feathered vines are trapunto work: a quilting technique that involves stuffing embroidered designs with cotton batting to create a dimensional surface.
