Description

Mourning picture depicting a woman dressed in white leaning on a cylindrical monument surmounted by an urn. There is a weeping willow at her left. To the right in the distance are a church and another tree. The woman's face and arms, the background and church at right are painted. Stitches used in the picture include satin and French knots. It is framed and under a reverse painted (eglomise) glass.
