Cream-colored wool two piece suit with ivory-colored silk braid trim. A=Jacket - angled shawl collar, trimmed with three rows of cream-colored silk braid and wide basket-weave border of ivory-colored silk. Two large mother of pearl buttons; cut away below waist; narrow tuck from shoulder to hem, front & back creates "panel" effect. This "panel" has seam at waist, basketweave trim & braid arranged in geometric motifs; long sleeves gathered at shoulder. Cuffs have basket weave border & braid arranged in sun motif at corner of cuff border; fully lined with ivory-colored satin; weighted hem. B=Skirt - matching skirt has same vertical tucks at sides as well; narrow taffeta waistband; hem has 3 rows of braid and basket-weave border. Fully lined with taffeta; taffeta dust ruffle; overlapping hook & eye closure at back.
