Bowl-shaped wood splint basket with square base, expanding sides and round rim. Checker weave base of wide standards. Some of the standards are split to form narrower side standards, resulting in standards of differing widths. The sides are a checker weave. The rim is re-inforced with interior and exterior splint hoops fixed to the basket with a single wrapped binder.
