Square lidded "fancy" box made from ash splint and sweetgrass. The body of the box is plain-woven ash splint in alternating wide and narrow weavers, embellished with overlaid flat "diamond" curlicues dyed pink (now faded). The lid is plain-weave with rows of diamond curls. The rims of lid and box are sweetgrass bundles held in place with ash splint lashing. The lid and body are connected at back with ash splint hinges and open in front using a pair of ash splint-wrapped rings, one attached to the box body and the other to the lid.
