Description

An ash splint "fancy basket" with plain, checkerweave lid and wrapped, crossed hoop handles attached at the center of the body rather than the ends. The basket body is embellished with a fancy curlicue "wart" weave over most of its surface. The rim has an elaborate lace edge that stands nearly an inch vertically.
