Description

Peach-orange wool bonnet woven with cream silk threads in herringbone pattern. High, curved brim has two cane and one wire ribs, with four additional cane ribs. Fabric is gathered along the ribs. Crown is high and angled with six circular cane ribs. Fabric is gathered around these as on brim. Self neck ruffle, striped gauze ribbon of cream silk with chartreuse tint; ribbon trims brim where brim meets crown, around neck, with bow at center back, and ribbon ties at neck; brim lined with self fabric; crown has painted straw and canvas support, with tan cotton cambric lining.
