FAN (A): Collapsable folding fan (center hinge folds fan in half); carved ivory sticks and guards with gilt inlay; paper leaf with both sides painted with scenes of men and woman; printed garland border in gold on both sides; ornate arched metal loop with tassel of green silk and metallic thread. BOX (B): Wooden, covered with textured black paper; tapers at one end (round); lid attached at side; two metal closures.
