Folding; carved ivory sticks and guards with gilt inlay; paper leaf with both sides painted with scenes of men and women; printed garland border in gold on both sides; ornate arched metal loop with tassel of green silk and metallic thread; center hinged folding fan in half. Box: wooden covered with textured black paper; tapers at one end (round); lid attached at side; two metal closures.
