On dial: Brass incised(?): ""Simon/ Willard"" Key inscribed: ""S.W./ 1782"" 5/13/2002 Charles Wilson examined the clock and observed that it is inscribed on the back of the works in two places. One inscription seems to read ""Chas. Runster / July 19, 1813"" and the other ""S. Ham / Sept. 11, 1830.""
