Description

Ink on paper, pine frame, original glass. Framed engraving of John Manners, Marquis of Granby, Commander in Chief of the British Forces, Lieutenant General of the Ordinance, and Colonel of the Royal Regiment of Horse Guards. Three-quarter portrait of a man, torso turned slightly to left, looking to the left, wearing a three-quarter length coat trimmed in braid, sash tied around waist, left hand extended and resting on sword; neo-classical column in right background.
