This three-piece dress ensemble is made from purple silk satin with a high rounded neck, black satin horizontal bars with nine self-covered buttons, a black star (military style), lace epaulets from back to waist. The bodice is lined with cream cotton and the sleeves are lined with cream silk. The long sleeves have 4 rows of same black satin bars. The waist has a peplum at back; pleats at front and back. The skirt has a train and a hem lined with purple crinoline and edged with dark purple silk tape. A pocket is placed on the right side. The belt bustle has black silk bands in a chevron pattern, with a self-bow with black satin trim and hook and eye closure.
