Rectangular framed miniature portrait of man, half-length, facing slightly right; wearing black coat, black waistcoat, white shirt, black necktie in bow, black cloak with silver clasp over subject's left shoulder, black watch chain visible around neck; seated on black Empire sofa with mahogany scrolled arm, ormolu mount, corner of room visible in brown background enclosed by metal gold inner matt; dark stained mahogany frame with deep recess and carved inner molding.
