Description

Corner or Roundabout chair. Black walnut with white pine and soft maple frame. Molded crest rail with two solid vasiform back splats. Vase-and-ring turned stiles. Rounded front seat with plain skirt. Carved central knee block terminates in a cabriole leg with pad foot. Swelled stretchers with block and ball central lap joints round-tenoned into legs. Carved corner brackets surmount turned rear legs that terminate in pad feet. Originally contained a chamber pot.
