Bust-length portrait of a woman in red dress with lace collar, earrings. Adeline Fowle (1799-1869) of Watertown, MA, married her second husband, Charles Jean Marie Felix, Marquie de la Valette, in 1842. Sister of Charlotte Fowle Wiggins (1939.205).
