Purple silk taffeta; quilted with vertical and horizontal bands; thin padding; brim has rounded tips; neck ruffle with piped edges; piping at crown; brim lined with pale green silk moire'; the rest of the hood is lined with a lilac and yellow plaid silk, woven with a textured stripe; cream silk taffeta ribbon ties at neck; ties have ribbed edges.
