Description

Two piece dress made from blue and green wool check; A=Bodice shows a standing band collar with black velvet & black ruffle; hook & eye at closure at collar back. Blouson front with placket covering "vest" with hook & eye closure; jabot of black lace. Epaulets and front trimmed with black braid; long sleeves; boned at front waist and back; lined with black glazed cotton. B=Skirt - matching textile, constructed as two piece ensemble. The skirt is gored, with narrow waistband; smooth front. 4 bunches of pleats stitched in place at back; back panel cut off-grain; hook & eye closure center back. Fully lined with blue taffeta; buckram interlining for stiffening hem; hem bound w/ blue velvet; hooks at waist for hooking onto bodice at sides.
