The bonnet is trimmed with ivory taffeta ribbon brocaded with brown and yellow floral sprays, artificial flowers constructed from cut feathers and wax. White silk ribbon ties with stripes and scalloped edge are stitched to corners. The interior brim is lined with cotton lace and the crown is lined with net (later additions).
