Description

Painted and decorated Chippendale style six- board chest with applied frontal ecoration simulating three arched panels. Two trestle feet. Sides dovetailed front and back. Breadboard ends on hinged lid with applied molding at front. Top painted blue with white rectanguloid reserve enclosing flower and vine motif. Front of chest with dentil molding with holes drilled above dentils. Painted blue with red trim; arches white with branch of flowers in each; one with escutcheon. Sides blue with corresponding floral and arch decoration. Applied basal molding.
