Description

Earthenware children's mug. Black transfer printed image of "A Shave for a Penney" [sic]. A monkey sits amongst shaving implements, holding a razor; his reflection is visible in a mirror. A man stands just inside a doorway at left. Pink lustre bands at rim and around body 1/4" from base, with stripe down handle.
