Underglaze brown transfer-printed design of "Canova" pattern: overall classical [Venetian?] scene with urn at right and gondola and temple at left; rim with scenic reserves of ship and urn alternating with floral reserves on stippled ground; white clay body; faceted globular form with circular foot; indented at neck with wide curvilinear spouted mouth; ornately molded S-scroll handle terminating in molded leaves.
