Description

Porcelain sugar bowl (a) with lid (b). Double-handled, round, slightly bulbous body. Lid and bowl rim painted with blue band with gold stars and red band with fish scale pattern. Border around foot and inner border of lid of handpainted blue rosettes with gold tracery. Gold painted "berry" knop with blue leaves. Forked handles with gold and blue leaf terminals. On the side of the bowl is a coat of arms: the monogram "TWF" is painted in a shield, with two doves above it on a bar. The sheild is surrounded by blue and gold draping fabric with tassels.
