Description

Travelling trunk with domed hinged lid; whole constructed of wood covered in gilt alligator skin patterned pressed tin; black enamelled iron bands and wooden strapping; two buckle claps on front of trunk on each side of double hasp lock; interior compartment in lid; tray in body of trunk which as a removable domed top box; whole is lined with purple and white floral patterned paper with red and blue border paper and three applied pictures (one of trotting horse and two of women).
