Description

Long oval bandbox (A) and lid (B). Box and lid are covered with two layers of wallpaper. The bottom layer appears to be a Renaissance Revival pattern which is roller printed in green, white and red on a gray ground. The top layer of wallpaper has a Gothic Revival pattern of repeting quatrefoils roller printed in green and red on a beige ground. Box and lid are lined with newspaper dated 1852. Lid has handstitched repairs along rim.
