Fan (A)--has long wooden sticks and guards painted gold and carved w/ flowers and leaves (openwork on guards); sheer black silk leaf edged w/ black lace w/ sequins and painted w/ 2 figures in 18th c. dress, flowers and butterflies in pastels and gold. Black silk ribbon loop w/ hook and eye closure and tassel attached to ring. Box (B) of cardboard, 2 pieces; covered in white paper w/ raised checked pattern; bottom of box lined w/ white tissue printed w/ same form as on lid (in black).
