Description

Banjo Clock. Mahogany and mahogany veneer, light and darkwood inlay, glass, brass. a) Simon Willard type; eight day movement; circular head; trapezoidal waist; rectangular plinth, conforming mahogany tablets with light wood stringing and mahogany cross banding; pierced brass brackets flank the waist; cast eagle finial. b) Shelf supported by a cavetto moulded base; incised linear design.
