A=Bodice; B=Skirt. Blue ribbed taffeta. A=Bodice - deep "v" shaped neckline; long sleeves; peplum trimmed w/ bands of cream lace & black beaded braid front & back. Lace is handmade. 4 covered buttons at center front; boned darts; princess seams in back; peplum has 3 panels which extend over bustled skirt. Bodice is lined w/ white cotton; sleeves lined w/ white silk; interior belt at waist w/ hook & eye closure. B=Skirt - had box pleats at front & cartridge pleats at back; hook & eye closure on left side; pocket on right. Black silk ties at waist & series of metal loops on inside for bustle; crinoline at back & hem (checked pattern). Shorter hem of blue glazed cotton; hem trimmed w/ blue silk braid cording; mostly handstitched.
