A= Backgammon board D= White disks E= Red disks F= White shaker G= Red shaker Board; two shakers, 14 red disks, 14 white disks. Rectangular playing board with rounded corners--black lacquer marked with twenty-four gilt vertical spaces of leaf-floral design around inner perimeter. Geometric leaf and floral decoration in center. Exterior sides decorated with Chinese figures and floral pattern in gold leaf. Two metal hinges join box. Reverse side marked in checked pattern for chess or checkers. Playing pieces and shakers are carved ivory.
