Description

A=Bodice; B=Skirt. Black & white pinstripe silk taffeta. A=Bodice - square neckline w/ pleats & trimmed w/ black & white silk trim w/ tassels; black & white silk spirals around neckline. Cuffs have same trim (no tassels) w/ 3 spirals each; black velvet bow at left; 8 steel shank buttons at front. Peplum w/ ruched trim & same black & white trim & spirals; fitted 3/4 sleeves; boned darts. Lined w/ tan glazed cotton; woven silk waistband; princess seams. B=Skirt - matching; asymmetrical draped panel at front gathered at right side to hip trimmed w/ same fringe & spirals as bodice. Fabric stitched in place at back for bustle; wide ruched ruffle at hem; slight train. Elastic & cotton tape ties inside for bustle; deep hem of crinoline.
