This rectangular shawl is woven with a silk warp and wool weft with a white center and polychrome borders of stylized boteh and palm leaves. The borders at the short ends of the shawl are deep (46") with worked tendrils that reach into the white center. The long side borders are much narrower, worked primarily in shades of red, blue, and green.
