Description

Fruit basket finial on square pediment-like neck; sloping shoulders echo circular clock face in center; ormolu masque above clock on shoulder; brass dial with white enameled medallions with roman numerals painted in blue; hinged convex glass covers face; hands black, spearlike; gilded leaf motif around face with beaded square below face; body curves outward at base, scrolled feet are gilded; gilded scroll at base center front; punched surface has elaborately scrolled plates of brass tacked to sides with black painted case underneath; back door hinges open, revealing works.
