Description

Earthenware pitcher with brown transfer-printed polychrome scene of Roger Williams landing and Betsy Williams Cottage. Printed and polychrome feather border around rim. Motif under spout contains an anchor, teepees, brooms and "Wha-cheer, Ne-top." Printed inside mouth "Landing of Roger Williams" and interior of rim is a border of intertwined rope and chain. Ear-shaped handle with brown bands on sides and down spine.
