Description

Square back with squared top and lower rails enclosing four bamboo turned columnar spindles set into plinths under the gilt and copper painted rectangular crest that breaks top rail; crest with painted design of arrow, bow and sheath; round stiles with blocks at top corners with button knops; shaped raked back squared legs with painted line border; caned square seat with slightly bowed front rail; tapered front legs with cup and ring turnings at top, set under square blocks; painted to look like reeding; sides with two dowel stretchers, one at back; front bar-type stretcher with painted leafy motif.
