Blue silk taffeta dress in two parts: basque (A) and skirt (B). Basque has standing band collar; long sleeves with guset and gathered at elbow for fullness; fitted through waist and boned; pointed hem (center front) trimmed with pleated blue cashmere; large full bow of blue taffeta and cashmere at back (as bustle); 17 blue ball buttons at center front (buttons have silver cross and flower motif); lined with brown cotton twill; sleeve lined with linen. Skirt (b) in matching blue taffeta; brown cotton twill waistband; cartridge pleats at center back; smooth front with 2 darts; pocket on right side, wide band of ruched blue cashmere at hem; box pleats below ruching; fully lined with white windowpane crinoline; dust ruffle bound with blue wool tape; one white bone button at center back. Dress is just about floor length/ walking dress.
