Oval pasteboard bandbox (A) and lid (B). Box and lid are covered with wallpaper. Motif on top of lid is a stylized tree and rim of lid has vertical stripes. Box has stripes, geometric motifs, and bird among foliage. Block printed in pink, red, green and white on dark yellow ground. Handstitched repair to rim of lid.

In exhibit "Boxes: Open and Shut" at SPNEA's One Bowdoin Square Gallery May 15, 2001 to October 2001. The exhibit then traveled to Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, MA where objects were on display from November 2001 to May 6, 2002. *** This box only in Hancock Shaker Village venue.
