Side chair. Mahogany with birch front and side seat rails. Yoke crest with central carved shell and carved molded ears. Pierced splat with central owl-eye design. Over-the-rail upholstered seat outlined with a single row of brass nails. Swell turned front and rear stretchers, joined by turned blocks to side stretchers and legs. Rests on creased cabriole front legs with acanthus leaf-carved knees that terminate claw and ball feet and chamfered, raked back legs.
