Description

White clay body with green celadon glaze. Vase or modified rounded club-shaped form with a swelling bulbous body with circular foot, tapered neck and wide circular mouth with dished inverted rim. Applied gilt to dog handles at neck. Polychrome overglaze decoration in rose palette. Three roses at inside rim. Exterior with overall butterfly and insect motif with a scene in blue and gilt at front of clouds with dragon and dieties at top and with sampoon and laborers at bottom (represents heaven and hell or earth).
