Description

One-piece school desk unit with stool. Pine. Painted blue, spotted with drips of green paint on sides. Composed of a desk box with hinged slant lid frame for box and stool. Ink inscription on underside of slant lid reads "Henry H./Susan E. Cole Boston Mass/Always Ready/Charlestown Massachusetts/---er Cole/Charlestown/Dec. 12 28th 1819/1819 M(?) C." Stretcher base units.
