Celadon underglazed with gilded band around edge which ends in a gilt sunburst at the tip of the handle; overall pattern contains birds, flowers and butterflies in a Rose Medallion palette with gilt highlights; handle forms a "V" which slopes into the bowl of the ladle; underside of bowl is flattened so that it stands freely.
