Early Federal style desk and bookcase in two sections. Bookcase consists of flat top, coved cornice, rectangular panelled doors with string inlay and quarter fans in each corner and simple interior configuration with 11 shelves. Desk consists of slat lid with a pair of clasped inlaid sprigs and a border of string inlay with 1/4 fans in each corner, four graduated drawers with scratch corner, beaded drawer fronts, ogee base molding and four ogee bracket feet. Desk interior has central column of s drawers flanked by four pigeon holes surmounted by two tiers of drawers. Carved pinwheel ornaments top drawer of central column.
