Oval body with Greek key border on pierced body; two scrolled butter knife hooks extend from one side; stepped oval base; removable shallow dish with a keyhole-pierced band; revolving domed cover with alternating radiating bands of engraving and planishing; engraved quatrefoil in center of cover, containing the initials "HM"; stepped bulbous and beaded handles on sides of cover. The swivel top makes it egg-shaped.
