Description

A: urn B: lid C: insert A) Large urn form. Shaped plinth with four ball feet and gadrooned upper edge supports urn with a circular foot with gadrooned edge. Plain concave stem surmounted by bulbous hollow body. Lower third with broad gadrooning. Each side with a fixed loop handle with bearded grotesque mask terminals. Spigot with fruitwood/ebony? knob at the lower front. Upper 2/3 of body is a plain band with a gadrooned edge. Cylindrical mouth with a gadrooned edge. B) Domed conforming cover with urn-shaped finial. C) Cylindrical heating element with a flared rim and two finger holes.
