Description

Low-post double bedstead of a suite. Cottage-style. Headboard is rectangular panel with stepped crest rail, enclosed by jigsaw shaped posts with crocket finials. Basal moldings all around. Posts terminate in stepped Marlborough feet. Conforming foot post, side rails with rectangular panels enclosed by moldings, with bracket supports that join to head and foot posts. All repainted deep green over older green paint with black outline borders and scrolled corner elements. Same form as 1970.460, with grain painting in Gothic Revival style.
