Captain's chair form. Wide rounded crest rain with shaped volutes at ears tapering around to form arms. Supported by eight sausage-ring-bubs turned spindles. Half-round flat seat with straight front with slightly shaped and chamfered edge. Elaborately ring-turned frontal legs with tiny ball feet and turned stretcher. Dowel side and back stretchers. Painted deep red with gilt band outlined with black on arms and crest; gilt and black banding on turnings. Repainted over a bright red.
