Armchair [A], cane back and seat with natural finish. Carved crest and front serpentine seat rail. Partially upholstered arms. Shaped flat seat cushion [B] made by Dorothy Codman. Blue and white toile of a woman on a swing, 1890s reprint of a 1780 Jean Baptiste Huet design "L'escarpolette" (The Swing).
