Description

Small, cylindrical porcelain teapot (a) with lid (b). White loop handle with gold decoration on spine and white curving spout with gold edged mouth. Lid has green tendrils and pink tree peonies on gold ground and gold button finial. Body has same green tendrils with pink peonies; gold ground with border of pink peonies in scrolled white medallions and two large scrolled medallions depicting 1) people in interior scene and 2) birds, butterflies and flowers on body.
