Description

A: BODICE: pale yellow wool challis printed with scrolls and small floral sprays in olive, orange and yellow; broad, stiffened band collar with black lace ribbon and bow applique, hook and eye at back of neck concealed by two black velvet bows; yoke trimmed all around with vertical bands of lace; pointed collar below yoke appliqued at band collar and trimmed with black lace ruffle; concealed center front hook and eye closure; fullness at center front and back contained by shirring at waist; three-quarter length sleeves trimmed with band and bows of black velvet with wide ruffle of black lace; boned darts and seams; fully lined with yellow silk. B: SKIRT: has smooth front, slight gathering center back; self waistband with hook and eye closure center back; six long vertical bands of lace ending in bows appliqued around skirt; two narrow black silk ruffles at hem; hem faced with cream silk tape and cream taffeta ruffle; skirt lined with yellow silk.
