A)Jacket/bodice - black velvet; chemisette with high boned collar of net, lace jabot attached to cream satin panel; wide velvet lapels; 3/4 velvet sleeves, gathered at shoulder, with turned back cuff; net undersleeves with tucks, lace ruffle and black net trim; jacket is open but has inner waistcoat of cream satin embroidered with floral sprays (lilacs) in cream & beige silk threads (satin stitch and french knots); waistcoat has hook and eye closure; boned inner lining of white taffeta; velvet jacket has 3 pairs of large rhinestone buttons with black satin loops; weighted, scalloped hem; black satin lining; Skirt B) - matching velvet skirt; smooth front; with 2 vertical pleats tohem at front and back; gored/flared with back fullness at snap closure; slight train; tab with loop at front waist.
